AFP readies medical teams for NCR hospitals

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has prepared two medical teams, each consisting of one military doctor and five nurses, for deployment to hospitals dealing with a surge in coronavirus cases in the National Capital Region (NCR).

An agreement between the AFP and the Department of Health (DOH) will define the scope of deployment, including the number of personnel and duration.

The pact aims to provide support based on hospital needs during the pandemic, as seen previously in Cebu and Davao cities.
