AFP JAGS colonel found dead in Camp Aguinaldo

The remains of Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Colonel Rolando C. Escalona Jr., from the Judge Advocate General's Service, were found at his quarters in Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo in Quezon City on Friday, Nov. 22.

Colonel Francel Margareth Padilla, an AFP spokesperson, confirmed that Escalona was among military officers whose nominations were approved by the Commission on Appointments in March 2021 and extended condolences to his family.

The AFP is collaborating with the Philippine National Police for a thorough investigation into the circumstances of his death, which occurred early morning on Nov. 22.
