Adamson beats UE, 78-54, bounces back from loss

Adamson University bounced back from its first loss of the UAAP Season 86 boys' basketball tournament by defeating the University of the East, 78-54, on Wednesday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre.

Vince Reyes led Adamson with 18 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, while Mark Esperanza contributed 17 points as the Baby Falcons dominated the third quarter with a 30-point performance compared to UE's nine points.

Coach Mike Fermin emphasized the need for urgency after their loss to University of Santo Tomas, stating that being on top makes them targets for other teams and they must remain consistent.

Earlier in the day, UST extended its winning streak by defeating De La Salle-Zobel, 78-66, with Andrei Dungo scoring a game-high 26 points along with 13 rebounds, six assists, and six steals.

National University Nazareth School narrowly beat Ateneo, 62-61, in another closely contested match.
