Adamson leads UAAP boys' basketball; UPIS ends 22-game skid

Adamson University maintained its solo lead in the UAAP Season 86 boys' basketball with a decisive 76-66 victory over Far Eastern University-Diliman on Sunday at Filoil EcoOil Centre, securing their place in the Final 4.

Vince Reyes led Adamson with 16 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals, while Justine Garcia returned from an ankle injury to contribute 14 points and four assists off the bench without committing a turnover.

UP Integrated School secured its first win after nine attempts by defeating the University of the East (UE) with a score of 80-71 in another game on Sunday, ending their 22-game losing streak.

Daryl Valdeavilla was the top scorer for UPIS with 26 points, including six three-pointers, along with four rebounds and three assists as they avenged an earlier loss to UE by improving their record to 5-5 while dropping UE to a 4-6 standing.
