Metro mayors agree 8 p.m. curfew, some to ban alcohol

Metro Manila mayors have agreed to impose an 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. curfew starting Aug. 6, as part of a two-week strict lockdown to contain the Delta coronavirus variant.

The decision on whether to ban liquor will be left up to individual cities; eight local government units including Valenzuela, Mandaluyong, Parañaque, Pasay, Navotas, Pateros, Quezon City, and San Juan have decided to implement a liquor ban.
