Study: 91% of Filipinos always wear masks when going out

A UK study by YouGov shows that 91% of Filipinos always wear masks when they go out, disproving claims that Filipinos are 'pasaway' or hardheaded.

Filipinos wear face masks even more than Hong Kongers, where mask-wearing is widely observed; only 81% of Hong Kong residents use masks consistently.

The Philippines ranks second globally in terms of consistent mask usage, behind Singapore with over 94%. Only 1% of Filipinos do not wear masks outside their homes, while 2% sometimes and 5% frequently wear them.
