Nine cops test positive for COVID-19 in Tarlac

Nine members of the Philippine National Police tested positive for COVID-19 in Tarlac province on Sunday, Aug 9, 2020.

One policeman from Capas town was not informed about his positive test result until August 7 despite testing positive on July 31.

The cop is assigned in Metro Manila and usually comes home to Capas on weekends; he went into self-isolation on July 25 after arriving at his residence.

On Friday, Aug 7, the DOH reported eleven new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Tarlac, including eight police personnel with a history of exposure to a co-worker who tested positive earlier.
