Unclaimed DOLE aid for Western Visayas workers at PHP2.7M

As of Thursday afternoon, more than PHP2.7 million in unclaimed cash aid remains available for workers affected by the coronavirus crisis in Western Visayas.

DOLE-6 Regional Director Cyril Ticao reminded 545 beneficiaries to claim their PHP5,000 assistance from MLhuillier, noting that many have complained about not receiving government support.

On Wednesday afternoon, DOLE reported that 616 workers had not claimed their cash aid, including 545 CAMP beneficiaries and 71 BEEP-AMP recipients.

DOLE-6 has assisted 25,400 workers through the CAMP program, disbursing a total of PHP127 million in cash assistance.
