Sinovac vaccines arriving in PH; Galvez targets 50M vaccinations

One million doses of Sinovac's Coronavac COVID-19 vaccine are set to arrive in the country within the next two weeks.

The first batch of 500,000 doses is expected on April 22, with another 500,000 arriving on April 29.

Additionally, 500,000 doses of Russia's Sputnik V vaccine will also arrive in the country this month as part of a 20 million dose procurement agreement.

On Sunday, an additional 500,000 Sinovac doses purchased from China were cleared by customs and arrived via Philippine Airlines flight PR361 from Beijing.

The Department of Health received another shipment of 14,400 vials of Sinovac's CoronaVac vaccine for Negros Occidental and Bacolod City on Monday, bringing the total number of vaccinated Filipinos to over a million as of April 10.
