5K min wage earners, OFWs get vaccines on Labor Day

On May 1, Labor Day, around 5,000 minimum wage earners and overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) will receive COVID-19 vaccines as part of a symbolic inoculation ceremony.

The Inter-Agency Task Force approved the Department of Labor and Employment's request for these vaccine doses to be administered to those in priority group A4.

A master list will be created by DOLE to ensure equitable representation of labor sector workers during the ceremony.

Additionally, frontliners from Congress have been included in the A4 category due to their critical roles in fighting the pandemic.
