DOT resumes 50% off COVID test subsidy for local travel

The Department of Tourism has resumed its subsidy program for COVID-19 testing for domestic leisure travel.

Residents of NCR-Plus are now allowed to travel to destinations under modified general community quarantine with a negative RT-PCR test result.

Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said the PHP900 and PHP750 tests at UP-PGH and PCMC, respectively, aim to encourage domestic tourism by reducing costs for tourists who have confirmed round-trip tickets and bookings in DOT-accredited accommodations.
