JGFP Inter-Club champ starts, 37 teams vie including 7 internationals

The 2025 Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP) Inter-Club championship begins on April 11 at the Mimosa Plus Golf Course in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, featuring a total of 37 teams including seven international squads.

Thailand will send four teams while Japan, Malaysia, and Vietnam each contribute one team to compete in both the 12-and-under Juniors division and the 13-18 Seniors category.

Local clubs from Luzon (10 teams), Visayas (14 teams), and Mindanao (six teams) will provide 30 teams, highlighting the growing prominence of Mindanao in this competition.

JGFP president Oliver Gan expressed excitement over the tournament's international participation and acknowledged EastWest Bank as a partner for the event, with Elite Grips providing free grips and caps to all participants.

Notable players from Mindanao such as Adrian Bisera, AJ Wacan, Rainer Tigwalan, and Mhark Fernando III will represent their region on a global stage, showcasing the talent and potential of Filipino junior golfers.
