Recto urges 2-year COVID-19 vaccine rollout

Senator Ralph Recto urged the government to speed up the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, calling for a two-year timeline instead of the current three to five years proposed by Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr.

Recto argued that a longer timeframe would delay economic recovery and render other measures ineffective.

The senator emphasized the need to vaccinate 60 million Filipinos more quickly to restore consumer and business confidence.
