Bataan reports 42 COVID-19 cases, 15 recoveries, 3 deaths

As of Wednesday, April 15, 2020, Bataan's total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reached 42 after adding three health workers to the list.

The province also reported an increase in recoveries with two more patients recovering on Wednesday, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 15.

Governor Albert Garcia announced that a 63-year-old female doctor from Mariveles and a 32-year-old female medical front-liner from Orani were among those discharged from hospitals but will undergo 14 days of post-discharge quarantine before final release.

The PHO report also showed three deaths among the confirmed cases, while there are currently 2,464 persons under monitoring (PUMs), 812 patients under investigation (PUIs) with mild symptoms and 230 PUIs with moderate to severe conditions.

Of the 11 doctors infected with the virus, only a 70-year-old female doctor from Balanga City has so far recovered.
