24 arrested in illegal drag race, 1 minor injured

Twenty-four people, including 12 minors, were arrested in San Rafael, Bulacan for allegedly participating in an illegal motorcycle drag race.

Video footage from the Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) showed participants racing without helmets and some with passengers.

One minor was injured in a collision while attempting to evade police during the operation.

Police Lieutenant Nadame Malang, PNP HPG spokesperson, stated that most of those apprehended were not wearing helmets and their motorcycles lacked proper registration and had unauthorized modifications.

The minors involved were handed over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development, while adults faced charges for various violations.
