Mayors in SoCot, NoCot test positive or hospitalized

Two mayors in South Cotabato have tested positive for COVID-19 and are under isolation, while two other mayors from North Cotabato were hospitalized due to possible infection.

Lake Sebu Mayor Floro Gandam and Tampakan Mayor Leonard Escobillo confirmed their diagnoses on Tuesday and are asymptomatic.

In North Cotabato, all elected officials in Magpet town are in quarantine after having close contact with a councilor who tested positive for the virus; results of swab tests are pending.

Russel Abonado from M’lang was hospitalized due to severe back pain, raising concerns about potential COVID-19 infection given his exposure to Tulunan Mayor Reuel Pip Limbungan, who is asymptomatic and in isolation.
