17 Zambales power plant workers test positive for COVID-19

Seventeen workers at the Masinloc Power Plant in Zambales have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the town's total number of cases to 54.

The outbreak began when one worker was exposed to the virus and subsequently infected others on a company vehicle.

Mayor Arsenia Lim has ordered extensive contact tracing and workers who tested positive were admitted to President Ramon Magsayco Memorial Hospital in Iba, while those awaiting results are being isolated at Bani National High School.
