Sputnik V's 15,000 doses arrive; AZ still option for second shot

The Philippines received an additional 15,000 doses of Sputnik V's second component on Friday.

These doses will be deployed to those who need their second dose as soon as possible or are near the 42-day mark since receiving the first dose.

Since May 1, a total of 285,000 doses of component I and 80,000 doses of component II have arrived in the country.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. previously mentioned potential delays due to production issues but stated that AstraZeneca could be used as an alternative for the second dose if needed.
