15 MRT3 maintenance staff test positive for COVID-19

Fifteen workers from Sumitomo-MHI-TESP, the maintenance provider for MRT3, tested positive for COVID-19.

The first case reported on June 8 and received a positive result on June 14.

Contact tracing identified 32 personnel who had contact with the infected worker; 14 of these also tested positive but are asymptomatic.

MRT3 management conducted disinfection procedures at the quality control office where the positive workers were based.

All MRT-3 and Sumitomo personnel at the North Avenue Depot will undergo rapid antibody testing, with those who test positive required to take RT-PCR tests and self-quarantine.
