Nocum leads Elasto Painters to Game 3; Guiao praises young guard

Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao lauded young guard Adrian Nocum for his "one-of-a-kind" performance that forced a Game 3 in their PBA Commissioner's Cup quarterfinals series.

Nocum was instrumental in the Elasto Painters' 114-104 victory over the Converge FiberXers, scoring 16 of his 28 points in the crucial fourth quarter.

Guiao highlighted Nocum's unique slashing ability and athleticism, noting his impressive acrobatic layups and finishes throughout the game.

Beyond his scoring, Nocum contributed four rebounds, three steals, and three assists.

Guiao believes that if Nocum further develops his outside shooting, he has the potential to become an MVP.

The coach recalled telling Nocum early in his career that his outside shot was inconsistent but that improving it, combined with his existing defensive skills and speed, could lead to great things.
