Woman nabbed at NAIA for attempting to leave using fake documents

Immigration agents at NAIA Terminal 3 apprehended a 27-year-old woman, alias Amy, who was a victim of a scam after paying P120,000 for fake assistance to work abroad illegally.

The woman was caught on January 2 for attempting to bypass immigration inspection while claiming to be a tourist bound for Bangkok.

She confessed that she responded to a Facebook advertisement for immigration escort services and made multiple online bank transfers totaling P120,000.

Amy handed over her travel documents to an unidentified man she met, who later blocked her after she was intercepted by immigration officers.

When confronted, she could not present her passport and boarding pass, stating they were held by the man, and her presented boarding pass bore a counterfeit immigration stamp.
