VP Sara Duterte questions PSC silence on alleged death threats

Vice President Sara Duterte expressed concern over the "silence" of the Presidential Security Command (PSC) regarding alleged death threats against her, her family, and Office of the Vice President (OVP) personnel.

Duterte questioned why the PSC has been "eerily quiet" even when she has flagged several threats against her and her family.

Her remark followed a statement from the PSC that they had heightened President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s security after Duterte claimed to have contracted someone to ensure the chief executive's death should anything happen to her.

Duterte suggested that the transfer of the Vice President Security and Protection Group (VPSPG) to the PSC was intended to undermine her security.

She recalled that the VPSPG was a separate unit created to make the Vice President's security independent.
