VP Sara Duterte links reconciliation to apology over KOJC death

Vice President Sara Duterte stated that reconciliation with President Marcos and rival lawmakers is contingent upon their apology for the death of a Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) member during a police operation in August.

She demands an apology to the family of the deceased KOJC member and to all those affected by the police operation at the KOJC compound in Davao City.

Duterte also seeks an apology for the stress and sleepless nights purportedly caused to the Duterte family by relentless congressional hearings.

She emphasized that the apology must be specific, with those seeking forgiveness naming all individuals they wronged.

She will consider forgiveness only after these conditions are met, adding that they should apologize to everyone they tear-gassed, hit, and mauled.

The Philippine National Police had previously stated that the KOJC member died due to fatigue during an operation to serve an arrest warrant to KOJC leader Apollo Quiboloy.
