VP Sara Duterte calls destabilization claims 'chismis'

Vice President Sara Duterte has dismissed allegations that she is funding a plot to destabilize the government, calling the claims "chismis" or gossip without evidence.

The Vice President stated that allegations without proof are simply gossip.

This statement follows claims by journalist Ramon Tulfo, who alleged that the Vice President, her brother Davao City Representative Paolo Duterte, and former Ilocos Sur governor Chavit Singson were financing such a plot, though Tulfo did not identify his source.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines is reportedly investigating the list disclosed by Tulfo, according to Malacañang.

Duterte also advised Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa to prepare for potential developments regarding the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) investigation into the previous administration's war on drugs.
