Malacañang confirms validation of alleged destabilization plot list by AFP

Malacañang confirmed that a list of government officials and former generals allegedly involved in a destabilization plot against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has been sent to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for validation.

The list, posted on social media by columnist Mon Tulfo, reportedly includes Vice President Sara Duterte, Davao Rep. Paolo Duterte, and former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson as alleged funders.

Other personalities purportedly involved include Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, former Executive Secretary Vic Rodriguez, Sen. Rodante Marcoleta, retired Gen. Romeo Poquiz, and Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong.

Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro stated that the AFP's intelligence community is monitoring the situation and investigating the claims.

Castro emphasized that while freedom of expression is a right, investigations are necessary to determine its limits, and authorities have not yet confirmed any legal violations by individuals named on the list.
