VP Robredo defers COVID-19 vaccination due to limited supply

Vice President Leni Robredo, despite having hypertension and qualifying for the A3 category, will defer her COVID-19 vaccination due to the country's limited vaccine supply.

Robredo stated that she is already qualified for vaccination due to her hypertension but chooses not to proceed yet because of the insufficient supply.

She expressed indifference towards specific vaccine brands, indicating her willingness to follow the guidance of the Department of Health and the Food and Drug Administration.

The Vice President's office intends to prioritize vaccination for their staff and drivers who frequently interact with various communities.

This decision comes as several Metro Manila mayors have already received their COVID-19 vaccines following President Rodrigo Duterte's authorization for local chief executives in high-risk areas to be inoculated.
