Volunteer groups back Leni Robredo's potential 2022 run

Around 200 volunteer groups supporting Leni Robredo for the 2022 elections gathered in an online people's convention to highlight her track record as vice president.

These groups cited Robredo's accomplishments, particularly during the pandemic, as evidence of her capability to lead the country.

The convention was held as Robredo continues to deliberate on a potential presidential bid, aiming for a "fighting chance" to avoid splitting the opposition vote.

Despite trailing other potential candidates in pre-election surveys, polls still identify Robredo as the most viable opposition standard-bearer.

Many of these newly formed pro-Robredo groups, collectively representing an estimated 500,000 members, were established recently.
