Intl volleyball stars invite fans to PH championship

Elite international volleyball players are encouraging global fans to attend the FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship in the Philippines from September 12 to 28.

Fan favorites Ran Takahashi of Japan and Ricardo Lucarelli of Brazil are looking forward to meeting Filipino fans during the tournament.

Japanese star Ran Takahashi, a fan favorite and the World No. 5, expressed his excitement to welcome fans and urged them to watch the matches.

Brazil's Ricardo Lucarelli, who will pace the World No. 3 Brazilian side, also conveyed his enthusiasm for the event.

Slovenia's Rok Mozic is also eager to reconnect with Filipino supporters, having gained fans during previous VNL games in Manila.

Japan will play its games at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, opening its campaign on September 13 against Turkiye in Pool G, which also includes Canada and Libya.

Slovenia is slated in Pool E with Germany, Bulgaria, and Chile, playing its games at the Mall of Asia Arena.
