Vice Ganda raises Comelec awareness concerns, invites contestant to voter education

Vice Ganda expressed concern on "It's Showtime" after contestant Heart Aquino admitted to not knowing much about the Commission on Elections (Comelec), its functions, and had not yet registered to vote.

Comelec Chairperson George Garcia invited Aquino to their main office for voter education, acknowledging it as a "failure" of the poll body to reach young Filipinos.

Garcia stated that educating Aquino is crucial for broader voter education efforts, noting that many young people might share similar levels of awareness.

Aquino is scheduled to visit the Comelec headquarters in Intramuros on Tuesday after lunch, traveling from Pampanga.

Garcia emphasized that voter education is key to converting individuals into believers of the importance of Comelec's functions and voting.

The Comelec also mentioned they are jointly validating cases of election-related violence and assessing potential changes in areas of concern with the PNP.
