UAAP: UST secures last Final Four berth in men’s volleyball
The University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Spikers secured a spot in the UAAP Season 86 men's volleyball Final Four after defeating the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors in three straight sets.
UST dominated UE with set scores of 25-15, 25-21, and 25-16, improving their win-loss record to 8-5.
Josh Ybañez was the standout player for UST, scoring 18 points with 17 attacks and an ace, in addition to recording 11 digs and seven receptions.
Supporting Ybañez's performance, Paul Colinares contributed 12 points, Sherwin Umandal scored 11 points, and Dux Yambao delivered 15 excellent sets.
The Golden Spikers' Final Four berth was further solidified by a later loss from Ateneo de Manila University to De La Salle University.
