Inclement weather suspends several sea trips nationwide

Several sea trips were suspended on July 23, 2024, due to inclement weather conditions.

The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) issued an advisory detailing the suspended routes across various port management offices.

In Bicol, trips from TMO Camarines involving MV "Virgen de Peñafrancia Tres Reyes" and Starhorse Shipping Lines, Inc. were affected.

PMO Masbate reported suspended trips involving fastcrafts and inter-island vessels connecting Masbate to various destinations like Pilar and Lucena.

Suspensions were also noted in Western Visayas/Biliran for the Naval-Maripipi route, involving 8RJA Express Lines Incorporated and MV Rosa-lito Express.

PMO Negros Occidental Bacolod Banago Bredco listed Cavan J Sea Transport (MV Reiseschatz-1) for the Pulupandan to Sibunag, Guimaras route.

PMO Batangas reported suspensions for Montenegro Shipping Lines on the Odiongan - Batangas City route.

The PPA stated that the canceling of trips depends on the Philippine Coast Guard's authority to issue a no-sail policy and on the shipping lines themselves.
