Two OFWs missing in Hong Kong

Two overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Hong Kong, Imee Pabuaya, 23, and Aleli Perez Tibay, 33, have been reported missing.

Pabuaya was last heard from on October 4, and Tibay, her partner, has been working in Hong Kong for eight years.

The Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Hong Kong was alerted on October 8 but has not yet been able to contact the OFWs or their employers.

The Hong Kong Police Force is conducting search operations, and the Hong Kong Immigration Department is investigating if the OFWs have crossed the border.

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) is actively coordinating with the PCG, Hong Kong Police Force, and Hong Kong Immigration Department for the ongoing investigation and search.

The DMW is also on standby to provide legal, medical, emergency, or financial support to the families of the missing OFWs.

The agency has called on the public for any information that may help locate the two individuals.
