TVJ launches new noontime show E.A.T. on TV5

The iconic noontime show, E.A.T., featuring Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon (TVJ), premiered on TV5 on July 1, marking a new beginning for the beloved hosts and their "Legit Dabarkads."

The show, which also aired on Cignal, Sat Lite, and streamed online, was broadcast from TV5's headquarters in Mandaluyong City, with viewing stations set up in various public places for fans.

Family members of the hosts, including Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto, were present to show their support during the emotional launch.

TVJ explained that the title E.A.T. has multiple meanings and will likely be used temporarily until a resolution is reached regarding the ownership of the original show's title, "Eat Bulaga!."

The hosts expressed their excitement for this "new adventure" and vowed to create new stories with their viewers.

The nearly five-hour premiere featured TVJ singing classic Original Pilipino Music hits, with special guest Sharon Cuneta joining them.

Cuneta expressed her support for TVJ, stating, "Karangalan ko pong narito ako dahil bumalik sa ere ang ating show ng TVJ. Pero talagang sumama ang loob ko dahil dapat inalagaan kayo. Ayoko ng pinagdaanan nyo. You didn't deserve that."

New segments for the show were introduced, including "Wala Ka Sa Apo Ko," "Vortas 5," and "Wag Kayong Ganun," which will replace "Bawal Ang Judgmental."
