TS "Jacinto" trough, SW Monsoon to bring rains across PH

The trough of the tropical storm formerly known as "Jacinto" and the Southwest Monsoon will bring rains to many parts of the Philippines.

Jacinto exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday and was last located 860 kilometers north of Luzon.

The tropical storm's trough is expected to bring scattered rains and thunderstorms to Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Zambales, and Bataan.

Isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are anticipated in the Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley, and the rest of Central Luzon due to the trough.

The Southwest Monsoon will cause scattered rains and thunderstorms over MIMAROPA, Visayas, Mindanao, Cavite, and Batangas.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms from the monsoon.

Residents in affected areas are warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains or severe thunderstorms.
