Trillanes says Isko Moreno is irrelevant, having meltdown

Former senator Antonio Trillanes IV stated that Manila Mayor Isko Moreno appears to be experiencing an "emotional meltdown" and is irrelevant as the elections draw near.

Trillanes, a senatorial candidate for the Robredo-Pangilinan ticket, suggested Moreno's attacks against Vice President Leni Robredo stem from a realization that his presidential aspirations are fading.

Moreno had previously called for Robredo's withdrawal from the presidential race during a press conference where he, Senator Panfilo Lacson, and Norberto Gonzales announced their decision to continue their respective candidacies.

The three candidates also claimed that the Robredo camp had attempted to persuade them to withdraw, which they refused.

Trillanes, a former Navy officer, also referred to Moreno as a "Marcos loyalist" and questioned the logic of his criticisms toward Robredo, who is consistently second in presidential preference surveys, while Moreno is a perennial third placer.
