Tolentino powers NorthPort to Game 4 win vs Ginebra

Arvin Tolentino led the NorthPort Batang Pier to a crucial 108-103 victory over Ginebra in Game 4 of the PBA Commissioner's Cup semifinals, avoiding a sweep.

Tolentino, a leading Best Player of the Conference contender, registered a near triple-double with 20 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds in Game 4.

This performance was a redemption after his numbers dipped in the first three games of the semifinals, where he averaged 11.6 points, a significant drop from his elimination round average of 23 points.

Tolentino expressed regret over his sluggish performance in the earlier stages of the semifinals, wishing he had played better from the start.

The Batang Pier, who finished on top of the elimination round with a 9-3 record, were previously outplayed by Ginebra by an average of 20.6 points in the first three semifinal games.

NorthPort now faces an uphill battle, needing to win three more games to advance in the best-of-seven series.
