NorthPort avoids sweep, wins Game 4 vs Ginebra

Arvin Tolentino led NorthPort to a crucial 108-103 victory over Barangay Ginebra in Game 4 of the PBA Commissioner's Cup semifinals, avoiding a series sweep and cutting the deficit to 3-1.

Tolentino had his best game of the series, pouring 18 of his 20 points in the last two quarters and finishing just a rebound shy of a triple-double with 11 assists, nine rebounds, and four steals.

Import Kadeem Jack was dominant with a monster double-double of 39 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 assists, including a clutch jump shot that sealed the win.

Tolentino stated that he "just really had to" perform in order to avoid elimination and that the team is "able to breathe again and get our confidence back."

Ginebra remained lurking, but Justin Brownlee botched his layup and Stephen Holt missed the game-trying triple.

The Batang Pier's win keeps their campaign alive and forces a Game 5 against the Gin Kings.
