TNT Tropang Giga bag 11th PBA title after Game 7 OT win vs Ginebra

The TNT Tropang Giga have clinched the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup championship, defeating the Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings in a thrilling Game 7 overtime match with a final score of 87-83.

This victory marks the 11th PBA title for the Tropang Giga and their second consecutive championship win against the Gin Kings.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson led TNT with an outstanding performance, scoring 25 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in 53 minutes of play, despite suffering a leg injury late in regulation.

Calvin Oftana delivered the dagger basket off a broken play, picking up the loose ball that slipped off the hands of a triple-teamed Hollis-Jefferson before driving hard for the layup that bagged the championship for TNT.

Oftana finished with 10 points and six rebounds for TNT, who doubled their title head-to-head lead over Ginebra to 4-2.

Glenn Khobuntin played an unlikely hero, hitting crucial baskets in the fourth quarter and overtime, including a big trey with 2:22 left in the extension in TNT's 6-0 start for an 85-79 advantage.

This championship is TNT's second of the season, having previously won the Governors' Cup against the same rival.
