Tarlac court voids Alice Guo's birth certificate

The Tarlac City Regional Trial Court Branch 111 declared the birth certificate of former Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo as void on September 24, 2025.

This court decision followed a petition filed by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) in July 2024.

The PSA had recommended the cancellation over a year prior due to inconsistencies in Guo's testimonies about her background and the authenticity of documents supporting her Filipino citizenship.

Guo is currently detained at the Pasig City Jail facing multiple charges including falsification of public documents, human trafficking, and graft.

National Statistician and PSA chief Claire Dennis Mapa described the court's decision as positive news for the Philippine government and the PSA.
