Taguig City administers over 1 million COVID-19 vaccine doses

Taguig City has successfully administered over one million doses of COVID-19 vaccines since the commencement of its vaccination program in March.

As of September 7, the city has recorded a total of 1,015,029 administered doses.

Essential worker Maria Luisa Escalante of Brgy. Sta. Ana received the one millionth dose.

She expressed her gratitude for the protection the vaccine offers her family and encouraged others to get vaccinated.

The city government highlighted the dedication of its healthcare and essential workers, as well as the ongoing implementation of the Prevent-Detect-Isolate-Treat-Reintegrate (PDITR) strategy, as key factors in achieving this milestone.

Taguig City is now among the cities in the Philippines, alongside Quezon City, Manila, and Caloocan City, that have surpassed the one million mark in their vaccination efforts.
