QC inoculates 100% of target population with at least one COVID-19 dose

Quezon City has successfully vaccinated 100 percent of its target population of 1.7 million citizens and workers with at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine as of Tuesday, August 31.

This achievement surpasses the city's target of inoculating 80 percent of its adult population.

A total of 844,149 individuals are now fully vaccinated, including those who received the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

From March to August 2021, the city government administered a total of 2,451,630 vaccine doses.

Mayor Joy Belmonte expressed pride in the residents and workers for achieving population protection and thanked the vaccination team and partners.

The vaccination program will continue despite reaching the target population, according to QC Task Force Vax to Normal Co-chair Joseph Juico.
