Habagat brings scattered rains to parts of Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is bringing scattered rains and thunderstorms to parts of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on Monday, June 23, 2025.

Metro Manila, Calabarzon, BARMM, Soccsksargen, Davao Region, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan are experiencing cloudy skies with moderate to potentially heavy rains.

The rest of the country will also see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.

A low pressure area (LPA) has formed inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), located 185 kilometers west of Cubi Point, Subic Bay as of Monday afternoon.

This LPA has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression within 24 hours but is expected to cause scattered rain and thunderstorms in Zambales and Bataan.

PAGASA is also monitoring a tropical depression located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), approximately 2,495 km east northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon, which is not yet affecting the country.
