Strong Group Athletics clinches second straight William Jones Cup title

Strong Group Athletics (SGA) successfully defended its title in the 44th William Jones Cup with a 67-56 victory over Chinese Taipei-A.

Andre Roberson was a key player for SGA, achieving a double-double with 17 points and 19 rebounds, and his defense in the second half fueled a 21-0 run.

Ian Miller also contributed significantly to SGA's offense with 16 points.

Ying Chun Chen was the top scorer for Chinese Taipei-A, netting 14 points.

SGA head coach Charles Tiu mentioned that avenging Gilas Pilipinas' loss to the Taiwanese in the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers was a motivating factor.

SGA will continue their title defense campaign against the Japan developmental team.

The team secured this win despite the absence of their veteran point guard, Kiefer Ravena.
