St. Luke's Medical Center no longer admits COVID-19 patients

St. Luke's Medical Center has announced that it can no longer admit COVID-19 patients in its Quezon City and Global City branches due to exceeding its maximum capacity.

The hospital cited that admitting more COVID-19 patients would seriously impact their ability to provide critical care.

Currently, St. Luke's has 48 COVID-19 positive patients and 139 patients under investigation across its two facilities.

Furthermore, 592 healthcare workers at the medical center are in quarantine after close contact with confirmed virus cases.

St. Luke's Medical Center will continue to offer outpatient COVID-19 testing for eligible patients based on Department of Health criteria.

The Medical City has also stated that it can no longer accept COVID-19 patients, and 530 staff at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital are in quarantine.
