Tropical storm Dodong affects over 9,000 families in 5 regions

Tropical storm Dodong and the enhanced southwest monsoon have affected 9,223 families, equivalent to 26,331 persons, in five regions of the Philippines.

Of those affected, 849 individuals are currently being served in 23 evacuation centers, while 956 persons are being aided outside.

Reports of one fatality in Calabarzon are still undergoing validation.

Damage to property includes 14 houses in Calabarzon and Western Visayas, with six totally damaged and eight partially damaged.

Infrastructure such as roads, bridge sections, and seaports also reported damage or inaccessibility.

The NDRRMC has distributed P267 million worth of relief assistance to affected residents.

Tropical storm Dodong, internationally known as Talim, was last observed moving westward away from the Philippines.
