SMC-CPC to honor top student-athletes June 30

The San Miguel Corp.-Collegiate Press Corps will honor outstanding student-athletes and personalities in Philippine college sports on June 30 at Discovery Suites in Ortigas, Pasig.

This year's event will recognize top performers in UAAP Season 87 and NCAA Season 100, and for the first time, football will be added to the honor roll.

FEU's Mon Diansuy and Carmela Altiche are the first CPC UAAP Football Players of the Year, while San Beda's Amir Aningalan is the CPC NCAA Football Player of the Year.

Awards will also be given for Collegiate Men's and Women's Basketball Player of the Year, along with mythical teams in both sports.

Volleyball athletes will be honored with UAAP and NCAA Players of the Year awards, and coaches in both basketball and volleyball will receive Coaches of the Year awards.

The event is presented by the Philippine Sports Commission, Pilipinas Live, and GMA, with several minor sponsors.
