CPC to honor outstanding UAAP, NCAA coaches

The Collegiate Press Corps (CPC) will honor outstanding coaches from the UAAP and NCAA seasons at the San Miguel Corporation-Collegiate Press Corps Awards Night on June 30 at Discovery Suites in Ortigas, Pasig.

Goldwin Monteverde of the UP Fighting Maroons will be named UAAP Men's Basketball Coach of the Year for guiding his team to a championship.

Randy Alcantara of Mapua will receive recognition for leading the Cardinals to their first NCAA basketball title in 33 years.

Aris Dimaunahan will be recognized as the UAAP Women's Basketball Coach of the Year for leading the National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs to a championship.

Sherwin Meneses will be honored as the Coach of the Year for the UAAP women's volleyball, and Dante Alinsunurin will receive the same award for the NU Bulldogs' historic fifth straight men's basketball title.
