San Miguel Corporation (SMC) has completed the delivery of 40,000 sets of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to over 60 hospitals nationwide.
The conglomerate is also set to receive the first 10,000 PPE coveralls produced by local garment manufacturers through the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
These donations are part of SMC's P500-million fund allocated to support hospitals and medical front liners in combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
SMC president and COO Ramon S. Ang expressed gratitude to the DTI and the Confederation of Wearable Exporters of the Philippines (CONWEP) for their collaboration.
In addition to PPEs, SMC has also started donating ventilators to public hospitals and is awaiting the delivery of high-flow oxygen devices.
The company continues to utilize its global supply chain to source much-needed medical supplies despite high global demand.
