SMB routs Barangay Ginebra in PBA Philippine Cup clash

San Miguel Beer (SMB) secured a dominant 104-93 victory over Barangay Ginebra in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

A blistering 22-6 start set the tone for the wire-to-wire triumph, with SMB capitalizing on Ginebra's slow start.

SMB's coach Leo Austria noted the team's eagerness to beat Ginebra and their strategy of pressure and outhustling.

CJ Perez led SMB with an all-around performance, scoring 23 points, six rebounds, five assists, two steals, and a block.

Don Trollano contributed 19 points, while June Mar Fajardo posted a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Jericho Cruz added 11 points, and Juami Tiongson and Marcio Lassiter each scored 10 points.

This win improves SMB's record to 3-1, while Ginebra suffers its first loss, moving to a 2-1 standing.

Newly acquired forward JM Calma also debuted for San Miguel Beer.
