Slain businessman's son submits sworn statement to DOJ

Alvin Que, son of the slain businessman Anson Que, has submitted a sworn statement to the Department of Justice, which his lawyer describes as crucial for the prosecution of those responsible for his father's death.

The statement details the events from Anson Que's abduction to his positive identification and includes information about the ransom negotiations.

Alvin Que is among six individuals recommended for investigation in the kidnapping for ransom with homicide complaint.

His lawyer, Atty. Perlito Campanilla, vehemently denied any involvement of his client in the killing, stating that the Philippine National Police had already cleared him.

Campanilla argued that Alvin Que's actions during the ransom negotiation, such as demanding proof of life, indicated his lack of involvement.

Alvin Que has also filed a motion seeking to be removed as a respondent in the complaint, which will be ruled on by prosecutors.
